Every year we celebrate Bhado Amavas Utsav at Shree Narayani Dham temple (Pune). Celebration spans over 2 days – Choudas and Amavas in the month of Bhadrapad.
Importance of Bhadi Amavas Utsav – Shree Rani Satiji became Sati in Samvat 1352 (Mangsir month, Krishna Paksha Navmi and Tuesday). From that time, Shree Rani Satiji is worshipped as incarnation of Shakti. Shree Rani Satiji is worshipped as Devi Maa by people of all religion regardless of their caste, creed, age, nationality. Thus in the family history of Shree Jaliramji, first Sati was Shree Ranisati (on Mangsir Badi Navmi) and last Sati was Shree Gujari Sati on Bhadrapada Amavas. Thus all the tradition of Shaktis is celebrated on the Bhadrapada Amavas. This is in honor of all the Shaktis which happened in the family of Shree Jaliramji. This is the reason for Jat and Dhok pujan on Bhadi Amavas. On this day, our ancestors (Pitraji) are also worshipped through Jat.
Our Narayani Dham Katraj temple is celebrating this festival spread over 2 days. On the first day ie Choudas Mangal Path is chanted with devotion by all devotees followed by Aarti, Prasad. Beautiful decoration and shringar makes it even more attractive. On the day of Amavas, Puja arrangements are available for all the devotees. Other activities include Abhishek, Chappan Bhog, Bhajans, Prasadam. Devotees engage themselves in various seva through their generous donation.
