It is the duty of everyone to serve and protect the Mother Cow. Cows are important to human beings from both spiritual and economical perspective. Milk, cow dung and cow urine produced by Mother Cow has both spiritual and economical importance.
All the Vedic scriptures glorify the Mother Cow and service and protection rendered to Her. In Mahabharata, Anushashana Parva 145, it is stated “Cow is the personification of Motherly energy. The day when there will be no more cows left in this world, it will be bereft of a mother and thus no other living entities will survive”.
